On March 11, 2009, a gunman massacred 10 people in south Alabama. At the time, Jerry Conner (who was stationed at Gunter AFS in the 1970s) was the Alabama Bureau of Investigation Division Chief. He participated in the investigation, and is mentioned in the story linked below. The story spells his last name as "Connor", although it's actually spelled "Conner". Anyway, here's the story:

When I was a young Desk Sgt. I cursed this man and SSgt Paul Lloyd under my breath too many times to count. I learned quickly how to write solid reports and grammer. I had to, because I was on the verge of murder from all the report kick backs and red ink I received on a daily basis, haha. Today I feel fortunate. Due to them, my report writing skills are second to none.
ReplyDeleteMy civ LEO evals always showed praise for my report writing skills. The most important thing is I don't go to court too often due to my reports are lock down solid. One look at my case and the defendant's lawyer tells them to take a plea. :)
Thank you Major Conner and Paul Lloyd.
